All my life I have dreamed of painting and creating something of worth- something that someone would feel worthy of purchasing. Arts and Music were my 'thing' in school and I would have loved to pursue a career in Arts

However life often gets in the way of dreams, I trained to be a nurse and have a very successful NHS nursing career (and love caring for others). I married and had three wonderful boys now aged 6, 8 and 13 years old. Life was busy and I had almost forgotten about my love of arts and music, lost my confidence and becames absorbed in being a nurse, a mum, a carer and trying to support my family and give my boys all opportunities I had dreamed of as a child but never been able to pursue.

Then at some point in 2024 I remembered who I was - not just a wife, a mum, a carer, a provider, a fixer of all problems - I was also me! I decided it was time to redescover ME! My wonderful husband brought me a piano and I was able to play once again and I brought myself some watercolour paints and started to paint again. And I felt alive, for the first time in a long time.

So in Autumn 2024 I decided to be brave and launch Creative by Kat Designs, test it out and see if I could possibly produce something 'good enough'. It is still early days but I am loving being creative again, stretching myself and creating items of beauty. Creative by Kat Designs is at the very start of its Journey and I hope I can share a bit of the hope, love and joy I feel when I create with those who purchase from my store. Enjoy,
